Meet Our Team!
Alice worked for many years as a stage carpenter and cabinetmaker. She then attended Boston University’s Program in Artisanry, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Woodworking and Furniture Design, as well as earning certification for teaching Art and Industrial Art to Kindergarten through High School children. Recently, Alice also earned certification and worked as a Preschool teacher.
EXPERIENCE Alice Turkel has taught woodworking and other crafts to students from Preschool through college level. She has teaching experience in public school, private school, afterschool and summer camp settings. She has received three grants from the Cambridge Arts Council for her work with public school children.
Aleigha holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts. She attended The Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University, with a focus on photography, while also fine tuning her skills in printmaking, book binding, ceramics and painting.
EXPERIENCE Aleigha has a background in both Art Instruction and Early Childhood Care. She holds Massachusetts Director’s Certification as well as Classroom Teacher Certification. She has been making art with children nearing a decade, in many different settings. Her most cherished accomplishments are the large scale murals she has created with children around Massachusetts!
