Alice

Art and Woodworking Teacher

EDUCATION Alice worked for many years as a stage carpenter and cabinetmaker. She then attended Boston University’s Program in Artisanry, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Woodworking and Furniture Design, as well as earning certification for teaching Art and Industrial Arts to Kindergarten through High School children. Recently, Alice also earned certification and worked as a Preschool teacher.

EXPERIENCE Alice Turkel has taught woodworking and other crafts to students from Preschool through college level. She has teaching experience in public school, private school, afterschool and summer camp settings. She has received three grants from the Cambridge Arts Council for her work with public school children.

Allison

Animation Teacher

EDUCATION Allison has studied film and theater at Marlboro College in Vermont and graduated with an animation degree from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston. Her work has played at film festivals across the globe from London, Rome, Madrid, and New York.

EXPERIENCE
  Allison R. Power is an energetic animator from Cherry Valley, Massachusetts. She works in both Stop-motion and 2D animation. She has an extensive live-action filmmaking background as well, both with digital and physical film. Allison also enjoys creating experimental mixed media works, usually incorporating a blend of both live action and animation.
